The B.G.K. Break-In is royal treatment for your next gamer. I always start by massaging the glove with my hands to both learn the glove and loosen it. I dip all leather gloves in room temperature water (contrary to popular belief, this isn't bad for the leather) and then begin the mallet work. Once the glove is dry I do a final round of mallet work and apply leather conditioner as we prepare it for a smooth ride home. I take immense pride in the break in process and shaping of your glove and I encourage you to share the results. I aim to prepare you for practice with your glove so that you can finish the final step to a royal break in. Mold the leather to your hand and your specific needs then get out there and play ball!

Exactly What I Expected

I purchased Light Tan Rawlings Pro Preferred 13 inch DCT Pattern PROSDCTCC First Baseman's Mitt. It would have taken me 5 seasons to get this glove loose enough to hinge open and closed. Chris asked me if I wanted to set it up as single hinge or double hinged. I chose double hinged
TRADITIONAL / FLARED THUMB ONLY / STRAIGHT FINGERS. I was anticipating getting it back loaded down with glove oil and being marked up and stained. Instead it came back looking brand new and unused except it was completely broken in. I took it to the dealer that I bought it from and they were blown away at how broken in it was. It takes a lot of trust to send a $400 glove from Florida to Chicago but Chris did not let me down. My only fear is, I may never break a glove in on my own again. Chris is absolutely a wizard with this glove break in process. I thought it was amazing that he was even so transparent as to show you on YouTube the procedure that he uses.

Best break in ever

I sent my custom glove to Ball Glove King. They did a very good break in and delivered exactly what I asked for. They took a brand new glove and made it like butter!!

Great Work
