Wilson 1716

The 1716 is sick. One of my favorite Wilson infield patterns, along with the 1785. This glove feels best two in the pinky. The thumb and pinky hinges are super clean and feel extra juicy when you go two in the pinky.

Wilson gloves tend to fit smaller, skinnier hands really well.

Wilson 1785

The 1785 is also sick as it plays like a bigger version of the 1716. This glove feels best two in the pinky. The thumb and pinky hinges are super clean. Slightly bigger glove with a slightly bigger pocket compared to the 1716. Wilson gloves tend to fit smaller, skinnier hands really well.

Rawlings PRO200

The PRO200 is an OG pattern. It feels great and performs great. Works really well both traditional and two in the pinky, with a larger pocket.

One thing about the PRO200 you need to know is all the variations. You’ll see PRO20_ with the last number changing based on the web, so there are a lot of options within this pattern.

Rawlings gloves tend to fit normal to bigger hand sizes better, and this one follows that.

Pros:

• Proven OG pattern
• Works traditional and two in the pinky
• Larger pocket
• Tons of web options

Rawlings PRO31

The PRO31 feels quite a bit different than the PRO200. It has a more round, bowl-like shape. This glove works great both traditional and two in the pinky.

One unique thing about the PRO31 is that it fits smaller hands better than most Rawlings gloves.

My biggest con is the pocket location. It tends to catch the ball more toward the middle of the index finger instead of the true pocket which would be the base of the index finger. Not a huge issue though so don’t overthink it.

• Best Feel: Traditional or Two Hinges

Pros:

• Unique round shape
• Works traditional and two in the pinky
• Fits smaller hands better than most Rawlings

Wilson 1724

The 1724 is the Bobby Witt Jr. glove pattern and is made to be worn two in the pinky. The glove feels fantastic and can be gamed anywhere on the infield. Very cool glove pattern, I was super excited about this when I discovered it.

This glove is going to feel best with two hinges.

Rawlings KB17

The KB17 is a larger PRO200. I love it. Perfect for a utility player or a bigger third base glove. This glove works great both traditional and two in the pinky.

Wilson D33

The D33 is a pitching glove that works. It looks nice, web isn’t overly stiff as some pitching webs can be. Feels good both traditional and two in the pinky. It has a normal to large pocket.

Pitching gloves are simple. Cover the ball and feel good. This glove does that.

The DCT is by far my favorite first base mitt. I hands down recommend this over everything. You can wear it however you want and close it however you want. Deep pocket that won’t lose the ball.

This glove is insane. It has a large palm/face with a tight, precise pocket. Feels awesome to use, but it’s very Japanese, so not everyone will love it.

Feels best traditional and slightly awkward two in the pinky.

Keep in mind this is a hard break-in.

This glove is not great for bigger, thicker hands.

This is a Japanese catcher’s mitt that is slightly more American-friendly. It has a large face/palm with a large pocket. Feels really solid overall.

This glove can be worn traditional or two in the pinky, but feels awkward and tight two in the ring.

This is Rawlings’ standard outfield pattern, and it feels great. If you need an outfield glove and you like Rawlings, this is it. Plays best two in the pinky with two hinges, like most outfield gloves.

Wilson 1810

The 1810 was pretty dang exciting when it first came out, and it still rocks. It has a slightly longer, narrower shape. Measured at 12.75", but plays more like 13".

This glove is meant to be worn two in the pinky.

• Pocket: Deep (not too deep)
• Best Feel: Two Hinges

Pros:

• Longer, narrower shape
• Plays bigger than listed size
• Great two in the pinky feel
• Solid outfield option

Cons:

• Not ideal for smaller players
